Seahawks vs Colts: Sunday Night Football

This is a much different game on the schedule this week than we expected coming into this season. Sunday Night Football was supposed to be Andrew Luck's first start at CenturyLink Field. It was going to be a rematch of the 2012 draft picks that we've only seen once before in 2013. Luck brought his team back from a big deficit in that game and Wilson went on to win a Super Bowl.

Instead, we get a Colts team that has already been taken down twice by our NFC West rivals. The Rams crushed them Week 1, but since putting in Jacoby Brissett it's allowed them to be competitive. The Colts picked up their first win over the Browns last week and are now 1-2.

Who else is 1-2? Our Seahawks. The difference is that Seattle has played two quality road teams in the first three weeks this season. The Seahawks aren't on the road this week, and playing in a timeslot that we've seen them be incredibly dominant in.

Another bonus for this week's game? We get to cheer on Kenny Easley as he's honored at the stadium following his Hall of Fame induction. His number 45 will be retired and hung from the rafters this week up next to #12, #80, #96 and #71.

Speaking of #71, Walter Jones joined our Sea Hawkers Podcast this week and offered up some thoughts on the team so far this year along with a discussion about the offensive line. Check it out!

Sea Hawkers Podcast #172: HOF tackle Walter Jones interview, another slow start for the offense, Seahawks to retire Easley’s number

  SHPlogoRGB16x9

Hall of Fame offensive lineman Walter Jones joins the show this week to offer his thoughts on the Seahawks game with the Tennessee Titans and the team as the whole through the first few weeks in the season. He talks about FanCom, a new service coming online this weekend to allow fans to interact with NFL greats.

Before the interview Adam and Brandan discuss what happened in the game against the Titans, what the team needs to do to get back on track and the reason why our offensive coordinator has difficultly calling a game before the last couple minutes of the first half. For the first time this year, fans had reason to be concerned about the defense, but there is a comparison to last year that should tell us that everything will be fine.
