Seahawks look to re-take NFC West lead with a Monday Night Football victory

It's been awhile since the last email. A lot has happened. A loss to the Redskins was probably the least of the bad news, but then came a season ending injury to Richard Sherman when he tore his achilles in the Thursday Night Football Game against the Cardinals. Fortunately it was a win to help keep the Seahawks undefeated within the division, but unfortunately we received more bad news about Kam Chancellor being out for a significant period of time--potentially the season.

Fortunately the Seahawks still have five former Pro Bowlers on their defense, and a deep secondary that they added to in the draft. Additionally, they signed veterans like Bradley McDougald (who will move over to strong safety to fill in for Kam now that Earl Thomas is back in the lineup) and Byron Maxwell who returned to the team after being let go by the Dolphins.

With the defensive injuries, the expectations for carrying this Seahawks team flips from the Legion of Boom over to Russell Wilson and our quarterback has shown on many occasions that he's up for it. Next up: the Atlanta Falcons and their head coach Dan Quinn who helped coach up the Seahawks defense on their Super Bowl runs. We'll look to see if Russell Wilson can continue the 11-game winning streak the Seahawks have on Monday Night Football that goes back to the Holmgren-era.

179: Russell Wilson’s pirouettes highlight victory against Arizona, Seahawks look to continue big streak against the Falcons, and how Sherman’s injury impacts playoff chances

  SHPlogoRGB16x9

Now that it's been a full week since last Thursday's game, Brandan and Adam discuss the Seahawks win over the Arizona Cardinals. The primetime game gave Russell Wilson a chance to shine in the national spotlight and he took advantage by breaking out a double-pirouette move on a throw to Doug Baldwin that ultimately resulted in a touchdown to Wilson's new favorite end zone target.

The play also caught the attention of Pete Prisco, a CBS analyst who has always said Russell Wilson is “good not great,” so we take a trip to Prisco's World to see what Pete thought about Wilson latest magic show. Turns out Prisco likes a metric that should have him reconsidering how he categorizes the Seahawks quarterback.
