There may be some slight color changes, but this is how we expect our newest Military Sea Hawkers coin to look. More info to come.
Super Bowl XLVIII is only days away! It’s about time, too. I’m not sure how much more we can talk of hearing the media complain about how Marshawn Lynch doesn’t talk enough, how Sherman hasn’t said anything inflamitory enough, or listen to how this defense isn’t good enough to stop Peyton Manning.
I get so fed up with folks in the media predicting this game will be decided by anything more than a touchdown. In the last two years, since Manning has been with Denver, they’ve only lost one game by more than a touchdown (a 10-point loss to the Patriots). Since Wilson was drafted by the Seahawks they’ve never been beat by more than a touchdown. So why would anyone predict a double-digit victory on either side?
To cheer myself up, I’m watching the Showtime recap of the NFC Championship. Listening to Wilson ask Terry Bradshaw on the podium, “How do we win this thing?” The smoke from the post-game fireworks hadn’t even cleared and he was starting to prepare for Sunday’s game.
Of course I’m even more excited, because after typing out this newsletter I’m going to be trying to get a few hours of sleep. Then I wake up and hop on a plane to Philly, get on a bus to New York from there, and join our Military Sea Hawkers president in New Jersey to watch the Super Bowl! This is a chance of a lifetime I couldn’t pass up.
I know there are a few folks from our club I’ve already been in touch with that will be there as well. I’ll be watching the Seahawks Road Crew Facebook page for events over the next couple days, and I’ll definitely be looking for the Legion of Boom Fan Cave.
Everyone who got their payment in for Super Bowl programs by Thursday afternoon should be receiving their program in time for Sunday’s game.
It’s going to be an exciting next couple days as we look forward to cheering the Seahawks on toward their first Super Bowl win. GO HAWKS!!!

Sea Hawkers podcast: Episode 25
We’re just days away from watching the Seattle Seahawks take on the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 48. Broncos fan, and friend of Adam and Brandan, Gerrad Timm makes his first appearance on the show to talk about the matchup between a historically great offense versus a historically great defense.
With Media Day over and done with, the guys offer their thoughts on the event and some of the headlines created by Marshawn Lynch.
The discussion is relatively friendly until Brandan fires the first shot by pointing out the success the Seahawks had through the season and asking Gerrad how comfortable he would be with Mark Sanchez behind center.
You’ll be treated to a trifecta of “Do Better” and “Better at Life” as Gerrad sticks around to share his selections in the second half of the show.
