The Washington National Guard almost completely covered a Chinook with a 12 flag to show their support for the Seahawks.
In less than 48 hours, we should know if the Seahawks will be on their way to a second-straight NFC Championship game. If so, it will be on their home turf.
It’s easy to believe they should be able to get past a Caronlia team that finished below .500 in the regular season. Of course most Seahawks fans point to the fact that it was four years ago when Marshawn Lynch unleashed the Beast Quake and beat the defending Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints.
This is a bit different. The Panthers had their win in the Wild Card round at home already and they’ll be playing on the Champs home turf. It’s not to say there isn’t a chance, but as long as the Seahawks play up to the standard they’ve set over the past six weeks, they should be able to take down any team in the league.
There was a huge demand for tickets and we’re happy that we were able to get a few of you into the game Saturday night. The winner of the free tickets was selected last week and will be announced in Renton tomorrow. There were also a couple Military Sea Hawkers that will be coming in from out of town. We’ll likely be announcing more info on our Facebook page once it’s publicized.
If you’re going to be at the game Saturday or in town and would like to tailgate, look for the club around 1531 Utah Ave. St. (aka Hawk Alley) roughly between the Coast Guard base and Safeco Field. If this changes, we’ll make a note on our Facebook page.
At last check, tickets were running at least $210 each (fees included) for Saturday’s game. That’s about $60 over face value per ticket for the 300 level. I just wanted to let folks know since it was a fairly significant drop from the prices I saw last week.
Be sure to check out the fan festivities and 12 rallies before the game. Last year’s rallies had some great door prizes and the one I visited was a lot of fun.
GO HAWKS!!!

Seahawks vs panthers live on AFN/DTS sports
This week’s playoff matchup is going to be on the air – not just once – but twice! That’s either going to make Sunday morning something to look forward to even more or something to dread. Let’s thing positively and assume the former.
The game is scheduled to air on AFN and DTS Sports at 1700 PT, 0100 GMT and 0530 in Afghanistan. Then you can make plans to re-watch the game Sunday at 0400 PT, 1200 GMT or 1630 in Afghanistan..
Panthers preview, top plays from the seahawks regular season, emails and more
This week’s show previews the NFC Divisional Playoff matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers. Adam and Brandan offer their takeaways from the game between the Panthers and Cardinals and talk about how this Seahawks team matches up with Carolina at CenturyLink Field.
Considering how close the games have been in the past, some were a bit surprised to see how many points the Seahawks are favored by. The guys offer an explanation, talk about some of the Panthers most recent opponents and also talk about the Seahawks players selected for the All-Pro Team.
There’s no interview this week. Instead, Adam and Brandan run down some of the top plays from the season and talk about some of their favorite moments from the regular season.
The guys read your emails, take your calls and read a review before getting in to “Do Better.” The referees in the Detroit game in Dallas and some Internet outrage directed toward a fellow 12 are the topics of conversation. “Better at Life” honors go to Scott McCloughan, who travels to the nation’s capital to be the new general manager, and the legendary Stuart Scott.
