I don’t know about you guys, but I’m trying my best not to get too excited about this Denver game. On one hand the Broncos, even as meteocre as they’ve been over the last few years, have historically won their home openers. On the other hand, considering the competition is in the NFC West, a win could mean the Hawks have a quarter of the wins needed by my count to lock up the division. Even with the Broncos record in home openers, I have a hard time thinking that a team who couldn’t even beat Oakland at home last year (and didn’t improve that much in the offseason) is going to beat the team we saw last Sunday. It’s going to be great if the defense can continue with what they started in the opener and get the crowd out of the game early
I’m still not over how awesome that win was over the Niners. Not just because of the win, but because of the fallout after the win. The more news I read out of San Francisco, the more I’m starting to believe that the Rams won’t be finishing at the bottom of the division this year. Did anyone catch that interview with Coach Singletary with his hometown media? This guy has this incredible mix of intensity and crazy that makes me really happy he’s coaching a division rival. If you haven’t seen it, you can check it out on our website: http://militaryseahawkers.ning.com/video/coach-singletarys-meltdown. The Niners seem to be absolutely imploding after losing to Seattle, and I haven’t seen anything to make me believe they won’t get stomped at home by the Saints on Monday night.
Also, a job well done for the 12th man last week. San Francisco wasn’t exactly having problems getting plays called because their headsets were “malfunctioning.” Turns out it was just too darn loud for them to get the plays relayed as quickly as the needed to. Apparently, the Chargers have similar complexities in how they call their plays, so it should be fun to see if the same thing happens to them a week from now (hopefully it’s kind of like how it went for them in their loss in Kansas City).
So, I know I don’t normally send out emails prior to the game, but I really wanted to pass on that interview and also wanted to make sure I passed on an offer from the team that came in through my email. Since the deadline is the 23rd, I wanted to be sure to share with everyone before it got too close to the deadline. The team is offering a 9×12 photo from their official team photo store for the price of shipping ($5.95). The downside is that it doesn’t look like they ship to APO/FPO addresses, but if you’re stateside and looking for a pic to show your Seahawks pride at the office, there are quite a few nice shots to pick from.
Anyway, just thought there might be some folks out there who are interested. Here is the link: https://www.replayphotos.com/seattleseahawksphotostore/offer.cfm
