Wow . . . wow . . . wow. Wow! What an incredible day Sunday was. I just sat down last night to record our Sea Hawkers podcast and recap the game to look at the plays on both sides of the ball that helped to make that improbable comeback a reality. Check it out below if you’re interested. Can you believe the Seahawks are going back to the Super Bowl for a second straight season?

Because they’re back in it, the Sea Hawkers Central Council wants to know how many of you would like to order Super Bowl programs. For those of you new to the club, we did this last year and there was a huge demand for them. You can place your order through our Military Sea Hawkers store. I have a few remaining programs from last year that I discounted, so order quickly if you want one of those. I need to have a program order into the Central Council by Jan. 25.

I did my best to turn them around as soon as I received them and hopefully most of you got them in time for the game. I’ll do my best to make that happen again this year. I’d also like to hear from folks on shipping last year. I didn’t get any negative feedback, so I’m assming everyone receieved their program and was pleased. For those of you who would like to add a Military Sea Hawkers coin to your order, I’ve dropped the price to $10 per coin as long as you order another item.

Lastly, are any members interested in organizing a Super Bowl viewing party or pregame rally? If you’d like to get the ball rolling by contacting a venue to see if they would be willing to host a group, that would be a good place to start. Preferably a venue off base if you live stateside so some of our veteran service members could attend.

Once you have that, contact me with the venue and I can reach out to members later this week or early next week to help you get a head count for how many would want to attend.

Sea Hawkers podcast: NFC Championship recap joined by TD-producer of the dave dameshek football program, around the nfl podcast

After witnessing the greatest comeback in the history of NFL championship games, Adam and Brandan take a look at the top plays that won the game for Seattle as well as those plays that contributed to the Packers downfall. The Seahawks fell behind early and allowed 16 unanswered points by halftime. Seattle was within 12 points with less than four minutes remaining before rallying for the win.

This week’s guest is the producer of the Dave Dameshek Football Program, Around the NFL, Move the Sticks and the Coaches Show. TD joins the show to talk Seahawks, the origin of the “sexy deep ball” thrown by Russell Wilson and a look ahead to the matchup with the Patriots.

The guys read your emails, take calls and respond to some Faceboook comments. Golden Tate and New York Times columnist Richard Sandomir are called out in the “Do Better” portion of the show. “Better at Life” honors go to Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork and Brandan selects both Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas for their toughness during Sunday’s game.
